Center For Cartoon Studies

I am really mad at my boss right now. Three months ago I asked him for a Letter of Recommendation to send to a certificate school I want to attend. He still hasn’t given it to me.

The school, called the Center for Cartoon Studies, is entirely devoted to helping students become comic artists and helping them get into the industry. Having class for writing, drawing, and creating the stories and books, and classes explaining how to apply to an official publisher, indie publishers, and even helping plan for self-publishing. They cover everything from making the comics to explaining the kind of *financing* people need to understand to do well. I really want to attend, as not only does the school appeal to me, but so does the town it’s in.

Last week I got tired of waiting for it, so I mailed out my application without the letter. But I included a note say WHY it wasn’t there, and that I am still trying to get it, and that I’ll even deliver it to them IN PERSON once I finally *do* get it.

Today, I got an email from the school, saying that they needed the letter in order to add me to the student roster for attending this fall. I DON’T HAVE THE LETTER!!!

I could cry right now, because I REALLY WANT to go to this school and my boss (whether he means to or not) is basically holding me BACK from it. This is really hard on me.

Oops

Welp, so far the posting on Smackjeeves is going well! Except for. one. little thing.

For two of my comics, I accidentally posted a comic EXACTLY LIKE what ANOTHER artist I’ve read has done.

That is really embarrassing for me. I’m trying hard to keep it from happening any more, but the fact that it happened in the first place is what bothers me. And having some one chew me out over it? That just makes it worse.

Mouse Harry Sheet

A basic, non-color ref sheet for a crossover idea that’s been bouncing around the idea in my head.
I’d be happy to share the story if anyone asked. I may tell more of the story as I post sketches and continue the WIP I’ve been working on.

SmackJeeves

As of the 19th, I will no longer be posting my comic “And The Cat Said” on Patreon. Why?

Because now it has it’s own site on SmackJeeves! I will still be sharing news, updates, and WIPs here on Patreon, but there won’t be anymore pages posted. After all, Patreon is where the exclusive stuff is supposed to be, right?

Here’s the link if you want to find it!

Transformation WIP

I’ll admit this is fan art, but I’m pretty proud of how it came out. I’m not in a rush to finish it, but I have been enjoying doing a little bit more to it at a time.
Probably gonna give updates on the picture’s progress as I go.
