Finalizing some designs for an original character (partially inspired by my own fanfic writing) and I’m very proud of the art and basic premise I’ve got down so far.
Full Name: Isaac Greene
Pseudonym: Sasakia
Species: Dhampyre (Human and Vampire Mix)
Profession: Criminology and Management Student (University Level)
Isaac is a university student in New Morrow city, he’s working on getting degrees in Criminology and Management. He has plans of joining the still growing (and still rather Wild West) field of Super Heroics in the city. However, he has some secrets of his own that he’s currently still learning to balance alongside his school schedule. And several twists of fate that are determined to make his life more difficult than he ever wanted it to be.
And at least one of things was avoiding the “Villain” role the world seems determined to slot him into.
From his mixed human and vampyric genetics to the magical locket complete with a talking magical mascot that found it’s way into his life, it really feels like some higher power is aiming to push him into a spotlight that he doesn’t want.
He’s used magical locket’s powers on occasion (and felt far too fancy and dressed up while doing it) but tries to abstain as much as possible to avoid the fallout he’s sure is waiting for him. Throw in the drama of a heroics university that doesn’t have many night classes, childhood bullies who haven’t finished growing up, and at least one magical girl determined to “fulfill her destiny” and it really doesn’t look like his planned future is going to go the way he wants it too.
Mahri, the magical mascot who now lives with him, is delighted to be in the hands of someone who’s refusing to abuse her powers (or her, for that matter).

Misc Notes:
> Isaac is a reserved but pleasant person overall. He’s friendly enough but tends to be a wall flower during a lot of social events. His humor is very dry, though. When it comes to dealing with strange/unusual/dangerous situations, he tends to go for the simplest and most straightforward method of handling things that will result in the least risk and fewest people being hurt.
He’s the sort to stop the villain’s master weapon by shutting down the electrical generator powering it without bothering to fight the villain’s henchmen or the villain themselves.
> As Sasakia, Isaac takes on a persona meant to keep people from realizing who he is and to ensure people stay back and are wary enough to not demand too much from him. Sasakia is meant to be viewed like a Trickster God/Fae. Someone powerful to have on your side, but dangerous to have as an enemy.
He lets himself be far more erratic and showy while acting as Sasakia. He intentionally leans into the impression of being Questionably Human. (He’s not a theater kid, but tries to make Sasakia seem like one.)
Sasakia’s mask does the old animated hero thing where the eyes of the mask move with his expressions. (Think Robin from Teentitans or cartoon versions Spiderman.)
> Isaac learned he could avoid his need for human blood by drinking pig’s blood instead. The local butchers are already familiar with him stopping in regularly to buy it form them.
He’s not at risk of attacking people of he doesn’t have blood. He can eat normal food and isn’t 100% reliant on it. However, normal foods slowly lose their taste the longer he goes without. Until it’s like he’s eating sand/tasteless mush, which is incredibly hard to stomach.
> Isaac doesn’t tell people he’s a Dhampyre. For many reasons but at least one is not wanting to deal with “vicious monster” myths that people assume. He explains away his issues with sunlight by claiming to have Solar Urticaria, aka extreme sensitivity to the UV rays of sunlight, that results in him constantly needing to cover up and shield himself during daylight hours.
